Before you spend on ads: what needs to be ready?

Simple questions to help prepare your offer and response process before launching a campaign.

It is easy to start by asking how much to spend on advertising. Before setting a budget, though, consider what people will find when they become interested. An ad opens a door; the customer experience is what happens next.

Start with a clear offer. What is the product or service? Who is it for? What details does a customer need to decide? Check any published price, what the offer includes, how to order, and relevant conditions. If your team needs a lengthy explanation every time, the message may need work.

Next, review the destination. Is the page clear on a phone? Do the images reflect what you offer? Can people find answers to basic questions and a working contact method? Try the journey yourself, from clicking through to sending an inquiry.

Agree on who will respond, how requests will be recorded, and how follow-up will work. Prepare flexible answers to common questions while leaving room to understand each situation.

Finally, choose one goal for the test and a suitable indicator to review. Decide what you want to learn before starting, and record customer feedback alongside the results. These steps make the budget part of an organized experiment and give you clearer information for the next decision.
